Cody, originally from McMinnville, TN, is a current MFA Lighting/Scenic candidate at University of Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN, with a B.F.A. in Theatre with a double emphasis in Musical Theatre and Technical Production.  Cody has designed and scenic painted for companies such as Arizona Broadway Theatre, Charleston Stage Company, Omaha Community Playhouse, Rocky Mountain Rep, Crane River Theatre, Central Piedmont Summer Theatre, Cumberland County Playhouse, Tennessee Shakespeare Company, Arts Center of Cannon County, along with M.T.S.U., and University of Memphis.  He also won the S.E.T.C. Undergrad Scenic design competition in 2017.  Cody had been with Charleston Stage since 2017 as a Resident Designer and the Scenic Charge Artist for the Company up until 2023 when he left to pursue his MFA.
